Arewa Youth Leadership Group Honours Olakunle Churchill In Abuja (Photos)
Famous ICT and real estate mogul, Dr. Olakunle Churchill has been decorated with yet another award following his return to the country after several months away on a business trip. The Big Church Group chairman played host to some Arewa Youth Leadership Summit Group in one of his operational offices in Abuja last week.
The northern group led by its chairman Ibrahim Yusuf applauded Dr. Churchill and honoured him with Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa as MOST DYNAMIC & PHILANTHROPIST OF THE YEAR 2017). The award according to the convener is given to Churchill in recognition of his enormous contribution in poverty reduction and food security in Nigeria through his of project empowering 36,000 youths, support for the needy, peacebuilding, and scholarships.
Dr. Olakunle Church was among distinguished personalities nominated for the award at the recent Arewa Annual Leadership Summit and award though was unavoidably indisposed to receive it. The Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Leadership Awards (SATLA) salutes exemplary community-minded leaders and organisations in Nigeria for their continuing commitment to excellence, developing best practices and innovative strategies. It defines and celebrates vision, upholds the Spirit of achievement and recognises excellence in inspirational leadership in the Country.
