Video game villains can be strange. Sometimes they come off as intended and we’re given a love to hate character whose dastardly motives prove him a viable threat. Sometimes we just kinda feel bad for them.

It's not every day you come across a world-domineering, psychopathic, genocidal mega villain, so when you do - and you start shooting, swinging or punching in their direction - it's a fairly safe bet that you're the good guy and they're the bad guy, right?

Unfortunately, sometimes we judge the book by it's cover too quickly, and it's only after we've vanquished our foe that we realise that maybe they had a point.

Alas, video games are a medium more and more likely to challenge your preconceived notions, forcing you to not only view the world from multiple perspectives, but challenge your preconceptions of others as well.
